Description
The EFE PHE120 miniature pressure sensor is designed to operate in the harshest environments, including wide operating temperature, mechanical shocks and vibrations. It is well adapted to embedded measurements, on vehicles, aircrafts, satellites, robots or missiles. With pressure ranges available from -1 up to 400 bar, absolute or gage, its all stainless steel construction makes it usable with most fluids used in industry, even corrosive ones. The PHE120 is manufactured with the rugged and EFE proprietary sensitive elements. Its manufacturing process, including traceable controls and special burn-in, gives the best insurance of high performance and stability in the most challenging applications. Its small package and low mass make it very adapted to application where space is at a premium. It is designed to operate in harsh environments such as high temperatures, mechanical shocks and vibrations.

The EFE Engineering Department is responsible for designing all our sensors, from sensing elements to state of the art PCBs. To meet the customer’s high requirements, EFE decided very early on to develop its propriety sensing technology for pressure transducers. This technology, thin film, is manufactured mainly using a physical vapour deposit, and more precisely sputtering process on a metal diaphragm (stainless steel, titanium, inconel, hastelloy, etc.). This film is used by EFE is the only technology which does not require any intermediary between the sensing element and the fluid to be measured as with an oil separator for silicon based sensors or O-rings for ceramic technology.
